totally frustrated with panerai's push button lugs

i have 3 watches that have failed with the push button lugs. the buttons have fallen out, i lost one watch to the ocean and saved the other 2 but they cannot be fixed. what to do?

What where you doing with it in the ocean? Yea those lil buttons are a pia I just keep a strap on.

But how do you keep the strap on the watch? Or you don't wear watches with QR buttons swimming?

i have always worn my pams in the ocean, they hold up really well, no leaks at all. but lately it's just these darn push pins. can anybody tell me if i can get a screw in case for these 2?
last 2 survivors r the [h=1]PAM01499 and the PAM531.[/h]

I would direct you to the TDs as I doubt these would be sold in M2M.

I don't think so. The diameter of the hole on the threaded side is 1.34mm. The diameter of the hole on the quickrelease side is 1.5mm. The entry hole is 1.7mm. So you would not be able to tap a hole to accommodate the standard screw in lug bars.

Alternatively you could buy the QR buttons and replace the damaged one. Not particularly thrilled with that option but it's a possibility with many models still having the QR strap change system. "Easiest" just not the cheapest would be to get a new case as the PAM1499 and the PAM531 were just updated last year.

Well if sexybeast knows someone who can do it (and can buy some suitable set screws), that would work. But he'd have to apply some loctite every time he changes straps.

thanks so much for helping me guy's, i have a watch smith close by and i think he could probably do it. what r set screws?
