Hello, I was looking at the new (V2) version of the TG offered by Puretime and Ruby and since I am in the market for one and it looks SPECTACULAR, I was wandering if anybody has fresh intel or owns one. Quality?

PS: Both V1 and V2 are good. Some people even prefer the V1 because of the better caseback.

most definitely , but "fresh intel" is that you might want to hang on for LoS's upcoming side by side comparison with a gen.. yes that will be some article.. looking forward to it.. it will be done shortly be patient and you will get the full picture. I bought my AP ROO from csquared on the basis of those comparison photos + I ve been coveting the gen for years now.
don't hesitate for the top gun, only reason why I sold mine was because I couldn't make up my mind as to what strap to put on it...I may buy another one.
ok, sadly latest intel is that side by side comparison by LoS is not going to happen. He isnt happy about the execution of the TG logo on the side of the rep and is not going to buy it after all. Please study pics of the rep you are intending to buy and some gen pics. Still a lovely piece which I woud have considered but for the logo...

I found the logo on the V2 ok. Can LoS chime in and let us know what's wrong with his?
do people really have a problem with the side logo that much? I didn't find it to be that much of an eyesore..

Personally, I find it too loud. I think it spoils the coolness of the piece. To me it screams Tom Cruise, but again it's a matter of personal preference.

I just got one of these from Hont yesterday. It's the v1, which reportedly has a worse side logo than the v2. It's small, and the logo is on the opposite side from the crown and chrono pushers so it faces you and not observers. I was worried it'd look cheesy, but again it's not terribly noticeable.
Guys, I went to an AD in Zurich yesterday and had a look at 3 Top Guns. All the same watch. I actually noticed significant differences in the Top Gun logos of the gens. Two of them were more detailed and seemingly deeper. The third one was a bit lighter, with a more shallow engraving. These differences were significant and quite visible to the naked eye. Overall, the logo on the V2 compares really well to the gen, and given the variations on the gen, I'd be quite happy to say that the V2 Top Gun logo will definitely not give your watch away. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the V1 logo, so I couldn't compare it to the gen.
