The words are out. The differences are pretty minor.

v2 has slightly darker tone on the ceramic case than v1.
v1 has much better engraving on the caseback (more refined, sharper and better finishing)
Top Gun stickers looks pretty different, v1 is slightly darker than v2
v1 has more matt black dial than v2 (darker black with the grey rings on 6-12 subdials present at certain angle).
v1 has different retainer ring than v2
v1's chronograph movement mimics that behaviour of ETA7750, the minute chrono counter advances when second is at 59-60 mark.
Polished movement dust cover for v2, brushed movement dust cover for v1.
AR coating is more purplish and stronger on v1 than v2.
The strap is slightly thicker than v2.

It's not the lugholes which is wrong but the thickness of the strap on the reps. I think the genuine strap makes a difference in terms of thickness (you can notice it right away).

My pick is still the v1 due to better engraving on the caseback. This can't be easily fixed.

Looking closely at the caseback, it may very well be v1, which is to me already is a fine watch.

Oh man.. I need to get me one of these after seeing the pictures.

So which version has the more accurate version?

Is the V2's darker case closer to the Gen?

thanks

Gonna be rough so the choice will be a Sinn U2 S. Will do some snorkels as well.

As far as this watch is concerned, there is no issue with Asian 7750. Even on v1, the chrono functions like real ETA 7750 (the minute hand advances when the chrono second counter is at 59-60 seconds marks).

I put this comment also to the PT zone:

I looked it up the gen is 15.9mm thick but the ones around here always seem to have 16.5mm thickness.
so what about 1:1 ?
this is not 1:1 for me
right?

any difference btw v1 and v2 here?
what about the ones from hont or the others, all the same thing?

...and a lume shot would also be great...

Hi takashi,

did you have a change to do the comparison yet (pics etc.)?
I want to buy a top gun but do not really know which version to choose.

thx

Some said v2 has better top gun engraving at the side but the dial and caseback from v1 would win in terms of quality.

It's pretty hard to decide now. The engraving and caseback are not easily fixed. However, whichever versions you go for, you won't be disappointed.

PS: I settled with v1. Will post more pictures probably next week.
