It's hard not to be a fan when you see such things as American Stig, African Stig, lorrie (sp?) driver Stig, and so on.

i think its one of the funniest shows on TV.. absolutely brilliant. I usually just download the new ones as the come out. Obviously it doesnt air in Canada on Television.

Yeah, big fan here too. I live just up the road from Dunsfold aerodrome (where they film it), and regularly hear supercars hammering around the track when I'm passing.
Best show on Brit TV for sure!! Clarkson's political and social commentary is not what I would always describe as politically correct. But you have to appreciate the balls for coming out with some of his calls. Pure gold. By the way, he has a number of books out that I would strongly recommend for your next summer holiday. Very entertaining. Captain Slow is a classic too - what a great addition to show he's been.
Oh, and if you want to see a cringe-worthy replication of TG, check out the Aussie version... 'Terrible' doesn't start to describe it.

You don't have to pass that close to hear 'em when they're filming btw - just driving along the Horsham to Guildford road (A281) when there's a decent car on the track is close enough if you've got the windows down.

One of my fave specials would have to be the US road trip. I don't think they realise to this day just how close they came to geting shot!
There are some things you do not put on a "motor" even for a joke in the south and "I'm gay" and "NASCAR sucks" are definiatly two of them :lol:

Do yourself a favor, go to the website and DL a cpl of episodes. Driving a Hilux to the north pole would be a good start if it's there. Prob not tho, it sell plenty as a DVD. Torrent it instead :wink:
