I'm in the market for a new AP ROO and my question is:----

I know theres no 100% accurate replica watch but...

Which currently available ROO thats the closest to the gen (i.e., black themes, Silver themes, rubberclad,...etc)???

Vote for TA2010.... Even black themes have it's flaws also. Like the date and screw on the leather or rubberclad is a give away. But who cares as long as it look goods.

According to the pics of the quartz ones I see they are horrible. Spacing of subdials all wrong. Can tell from far away from subdials and there is no such thing as a quartz AP.

Black themes is close but all the sec@12 have faults. It seems that the factories have a sick sense of humor because they somehow manage to put some kind of unique fault in every ROO version. I also think that the volcano is very close except for the metallic tachymeter.

I'm looking for my first AP ROO newer version, I was between 2 (AT and Volcano), but I like this one a lot too.

And another question, which version, of the newer models, don't have seconds at 12?

I think all the newer ones are sec@12. You can tell by looking at the pics, see which subdial has a moving hand.

Also keep in mind that all AP ROO reps have thicker cases than their gen counterparts. That is actually what bugs me the most since the rep sits so damn high on the wrist. I think it's a 2mm difference, which may not seem like a lot on paper, but makes a big difference in actual physical proportions.
