Hi guys

Has anyone heard of a rep Ti bracelet for the 177L? Checked with Lay and he says its not available...

Was just thinking that with the size of the market and all the aftermarket leather ones, someone must have made a Ti bracelet for Panerais...

Never seen one and I probably wouldn't hold my breath. The appeal is fairly limited as stainless PAMs are much more prevalent and even then, only a fraction of PAM owners wear bracelets.

correct, there's no such thing available.

once upon a time there was a mixed ti and ss bracelet, as per panerai gen,
but our rep factories have never made a full ti bracelet.

the mixed one alternated ti and ss links, and it only looks good on watches
that did the same thing on the head. for example a ti case with a polished ss
bezel, polished cg, and whatnot.

like below:

if you're looking for a bracelet for the 177l, I think you're out of luck.
unless some new rep comes out with the new ti bracelet.

well there was a rep one made, just like the gen one pictured up there.
came on at least the 192 (which is incorrect to gen though) that I know of.
I saw one on a mint 192 just sell recently at RG.
I'm unaware of any rep ones made of the new, full ti bracelet.

the old ones are pretty rare, they weren't really offered for too long by the factory.
maybe we can convince the new 288k factory to make a 296 or something that
comes on one of those new ones (pure titanium) so we could get our hands on it.

^gen pam 296 with the titanium bracelet which would be perfect for the 177l.

as far as gen, there's 4 24mm at the lugs Panerai bracelets:
(there's no new ti rep ones made that I know of, and the old ti rep one is no longer made)

old version stainless

(used to have a rep one of these, but they're not made anymore)

new version stainless (fully brushed)

new version titanium (the one we want here)

(no rep made of these yet that I know of, would LOVE to be wrong though)

the new daylight factory, the makers of the 7753 daylight chronos, might... Might put out a 327
titanium on a titanium bracelet... that would be awesome.

Thank you! This thread is becoming so informative and a resource for PAM lovers here.

Well, hope is on the way. Just yesterday I held in my hands (at AD) the new PAM 352. Full titanium. So if this gets well repped it would naturally have a Ti bracelet.

We are working the 5 models of the P.9000 PAM's (will only do the 2 titanium models only if the SS models sells well), you words made me feel more positive on these models. I was worried when I saw the RG thread.

I will report your need to the maker regarding the white dial PAM's and hope they will include them in the production list.

More comments are welcomed, please keep going.[/QUOTE]

it's actually 4/3
well actually it's 3/3/1
3 steel, 3 titanium, 1 composite

so they won't be making the 352 unless the other p.9000 style watches
become a good success.

and the 177L and 352 have different cases. one is a luminor style, one is a 1950's style (aka fiddy style).
so the bracelet might not fit well.

Given the popularity of the 177 now, i am sure owners would like to have an option of a Ti bracelet in the collection of straps.

Same justification - for the HBBs they have repped a ceramic/steel bracelet, so why would the Panerai volume not be several times of that.

until now, the titanium models weren't that popular in the rep world.
so there has been little to no call for it.

but now... we'll see.

Could it be that in the rep world (old world?) people wanted the watches to feel substantial in weight otherwise they would be fakey?

not really.
there just wasn't that many titanium reps that were great.

sure the lack of weight and ease of scratching did come into play, but the old reps
in Ti, well most of them just weren't super rep quality.

if they went out of their way to make that complicated ti/ss bracelet, I think for
sure someone will end up repping the new, all ti one, it's just a matter of time.
