Generally not much talk about this watch, because pricing was considered a bit expensive for what it is so not much purchase rate I guess.

Imho get the red Blackbay with SS and leather from Intime, it´s a watch I could wear like forever and everywhere, imho one of the most versatile divers out there and it goes well with a white shirt and polished shoes or just with a t-shirt and some tennis on.

I like it. And the strap is the most interesting part!

Yes. That is what Daywatch is referring to. I totally agree. Although I don't have it yet. I have both Pelogos and Blue Black bay. But if I had to choose one the Red with that movement would be the one.

I'd happily buy the gen so that tells you my view.
My only issue with the rep is the strap probably sucks and the strap makes this piece. If you buy one budget for a new bund strap immediately.

Aside: Dear factories and anyone who has their ear: FFS! Why oh why can you not produce a decent strap? Is it really that hard? You spend 10s and sometimes 100s of 1000s making a close to perfect rep that sells for 4 or 5 hundred bucks and you mount it on a 2 dollar piece of shit, STOP IT NOW!!!!

I really like that, but I would rather have the pelagos for the same price.

The rep itself looks extremely good, and the strap of the gen also sucks. Yes the gen feels like plastic too. Probably slightly better plastic feel but it's not Panerai strap that's for sure.

Also I consider this watch more versatile than blackbay and better looker.

So I ended up buying the gen with bracelet and just swap to a custom strap

Kutio, congrats on the gen purchase. Do you have any wrist shots?

I didn't realize it was so big. Anyone pick up a rep yet? Haven't seen any feedback on it

Agree -- it is the strap that has had me holding off on this one too.....with the weak Canadian $ and a new strap to be budgeted for, it gets close enough to an Archimedes or similar...

I have the rep and IMO it really is one of the understated super reps of 2014.
Everything looks really accurate, the rose on the crown is nicely done, the lume is raised just like the gen (but maybe not quite as pronounced), the dial is domed also just like the gen (I actually really appreciate the factory took the effort to rep the domed dial as well).

I think it was the price, which was considered too high. The strap is a bit plasticky but IMO not too bad, anyway kutio says the gen feels the same so there we go.

Mine has been my daily for the past couple months. I recently just put it on a generic straight ended bracelet which is similar design to the gen, with an old style oyster clasp which I feel matches the heritage theme of this watch perfectly.
