I have the VSF 1:1 on order from Lucy ( TD ) OMF also make a decent version, After speaking with Lucy, I decided on the VSF version. QC pics show latest bracelet with wider centre links and also Black balance wheel. Waiting for confirmation on RED O-ring on helium release valve........ Anyways, havent received the watch yet , but I'm hoping quality is good. Not sure if exhibition case back is saphire crystal or just synthetic crystal etc....

I own the 2018 VSF 1:1 purchased Aug 2019 (from Lucy) with the black dial and it's incredible including the SS bracelet. Could you please post pic's of the RED O-ring on the HRV when available. Many thanks!

Oh my god, what wankers Puretime are!!!!!! It's not the first time there's been suspicious hand placement on QC pics from them!!!!! I hadn't noticed the lume issue. What fucking dickheads. Seriously, play fair Puretime!

Took the words out of my mouth with that statement :clap_1:

Seems that not all TD's 'are a TD here for a reason'
1 at least will try to get a rejected watch past QC any way they can.

Anyway missing lume aside, its a nice rep. Just as well its my daily beater cos the resale value is 'jack shit.'

I reckon you should ask Puretime to refund you their profit, effectively sell it to you at cost price because that's BS. Then raise a help desk ticket here with the mods when they tell you to bugger off. That's not on.

Perhaps a quote for a re-lume with pure white lume from one of the specialist lume modders would be good to have! even if you don't do it you will know the cost implication.
This watch was basically un-sellable at full retail for Puretime, they would have to sell it discounted or cheat someone! It's unfortunate that they choose the latter.

I like these as they are quite unique in colour combination, I've always wanted an Explorer II polar with a ceramic bezel, it's the next logical step for Rolex. Perhaps Omega saw this as well! ;)

With the slightly off white colour of the lume - how obvious is it day to day on the wrist? I know it looks ok in bright light, but in the depths of winter in the north how does it look in dim light?

The thought had crossed my mind about getting a re-lume but not really sure who to ask about it, being UK based.

It is a nice clean color combo that is, i think, Omega's answer to the Exploer II. Also think the Breitling has done the same thing with the SOH II (bit more of a tank, that one, but i do like it in that color).

The off white of the Omega lume?

I dont see it at all when outside in the day (even on cloudy November day in winter)
I do see it when inside and as get gets dimmer its more noticeable. Anything other than pure white is going to notice against the background of the dial.

Here is an interesting one taken when i took the above pic and maybe shows whats going on in lower light conditions as below you can see its daylight but the lens is casting a shadow over the watch

zvw3F.jpg

Whats the opinion on that? Is charged lume contributing to more discolor look when you put it into shadow?.
I cant work it out myself.

I know in normal daylight i dont see it at all.

If your looking for white white dont buy as catching sight of it when its not white white may spoil your day...If you let it.

No not a stupid Question

The minute hand is green the markers are blue. I think the green look of the markers in this pic is due to the blue lume and presence of daylight.
In the dark it looks just as it does on the sales pics on TD sites.

Thanks Mark, top pick looks ok, I may well get one.

if you look through the modder section you will find a re-lumer, I can't remember but I'm certain there is a few in Europe and postage safety is fine inside EEC.

If you bump this thread: https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/modification-repairs/8077714-relume-expert

I'm sure you will get a few suggestions soon enough, otherwise the guys in the vintage section will know.

That's some BS that puretime pulled on you by hiding that lume flaw in the QC pics.

Wow that was where I’ve been considering placing my order. It seems Lucy is now more revered than Jtime ? Looking for either this or ceramic smp- do any TDs have preferred relationships with factories like VSF?

Also read China trade war is really affecting orders getting through customs esp in NY. Any advice?

Lol I opened this thread to decide if I should take the TAI CHI
or The SM 300 white dial
eventually I ordered the SM 300 black dial with the ss case and ss bracelet with the rubber band as an extra
????

Haha its funny the direction some threads go in after the OP is finished.
Glad you got the info you needed.

I got the RU strap as well when ordering the SS/SS version. They are a real pain to fit.
I had to use some sand paper on the plastic insert that is surrounded by the rubber/silicon and carefully remove some material before it would fit.
Try not to remove any of the rubber, just some of the plastic.
I did one side perfectly then rushed the other side and had a small gap that i filled with some black kitchen sealant.

LoL

worked a treat and gap not noticeable now.

I had a GEN Omega SM but sold it after as soon VSF came up whit all SM model including the 8500 clone movement. But the first thing I noticed as soon I the VFS received is the color of the hour makers, the lume is ok. But in daylight the hourmakers a far from white! On GEN the markers are clear white, and on VSF it is more green-ish. If you know it will drive you nuts. Hopefully VSF come whit a upgrade to make it more clear white, if they manage to do so you will have a winner a no brainer a superclone. The rest of the buildquality is great, but the green-ish lume in daylight is a big flaw.

That's some BS that puretime pulled on you by hiding that lume flaw in the QC pics.

This is why you should always ask for specific time setting pics, not only so you get whole view of dial, but to to check hand alignment

My first order from them was a PAM111. It came in with a crooked crown, obviously unnoticeable in qc pics. Second order sucked too, so no chance I'll use them again. TD status should be taken away....
