Things that shit me about reps

not sure if this was mentioned previously....but the thing that really bothers me about reps.......
lack of attention to the smallest, easiest detail. stupid little things that could have easily been avoided if they looked at it properly

Stripped screws made with soft materials. Poorly threaded screws. Screws that come loose.
Crowns that wobble and arent secure and straight.
Bracelet edges that rip the hair out of our arms.
Loud rotors
Clasps that quit working, or at least dont work well.
Non-stop Pam reps that are "new" or "different" because the hands are a different color or the case-back is slightly different. (I guess thats a problem with the gens too.)
But the worst thing to me, is that they decide to rep a watch that may never be accurate, but they dont even try to get close. Instead of using a quartz movement that might mimic the real watch's features, they put in a 21j auto that has a bunch of faux subdials. Get a little closer than that at least.

I am pretty blue collar and don't really go to many black tie affairs but I still love dress watches. I don't like the big oversized tool watches that seem to be the craze. So I guess my gripe is not directed at the rep world but at myself, haha.

Date wheels...And As other mentioned small QC flaws which I didn't mind back in the day because $120 rep is just that but at 300-500 that we are paying these days I could get a very nice watch. Per owned Rolex at 1k+ or omega speedy at under 2k...might soon be my time to step away from the game, put some money in my piggy jar and grab a grail or two
What I like about reps : The fact that there's a possibility I can actually wear a speedy Moonie within the next year after waiting and dreaming about one since I was in high school
The downside : knowing that it really " isn't the first and only watch worn on the moon" and that if by some weird chance I was called upon to save the world and fly in space, my rep would probably fail before I got into orbit

LOL, but why not save for the watch you really want instead of buying a cheap watch?? If you really want that one save for it you'll be much happier then you would be with any rep.
I know...I have tried several times to but I end up using the money for something else...my kid, a vacation or new car tires hehe...and it's a luxury item...perhaps I will get lucky with a reasonably priced gen on this forum ...it's my grail piece
Don't like...but only when it comes to reps. Other than that I wish security was beefed up a lot more :hehehe:
