i got ARF because of SEL's and the bracelet quality, i don't know why some people think the colour is not close to gen, this is a picture of a gen i tried in the AD and my ARF, keep in mind the difference of the surrounding light and the stickers on the gen, you will find ARF colour is close to gen.

Thanks for the comparison! It looks like ARF is a bit more yellowish and the GEN is more orange/rose.

Fantastic research @Parabuteo

So the 'wrapped' link was just a yellow metal meant to mimic gold. That's pretty cheeky. Would it be a good idea to have gold plating on an aluminium bronze base so the scratches didn't show so badly?

As stated by some, the "wrapped gold" for some reason, DOES have a more accurate to gen gold color. worth the money for the extra, for me it is, because it "just looks" more gen, but probably foolish on my part. I guess just a personal decision like everything else in the end.

The "gold wrapped" does have superior color to the "plated" and for me, makes it worth paying more. I know there is little, if any, actual gold in the mid-links. Anyway, great pictures and beautiful watches!

I own the Datejust 41 and wondering if the color of its wrapping is the same as the genuine? I have looked and researched even went to an AD and took a picture of the genuine to compare to mine at home, but the lightning makes such a difference that I can't tell.

I bought this TT rep it’s from BP factory, this version was only available from one TD, I so I thought I’d go for it as it would be quite rare. The second photo is the genuine version.

I’ve had had it a week so couldn’t talk about how durable the plate is.

I desire i buy a all gold sub, the quality of SEL and band dont interest, because I think that to use a croco band. My problem is the correct ( +/-) color of gold and bezel insert.
PB has a wrapped all gold, but the price is very hig
In Intime there are 2 type of wrapepd sub, Taiwan and VRF. There are also some plated Subs, but in the photos, the Yellow of gold is terrible. IMHO
I have seen all post, for a great number ot these, the VRF has a gold colour not good, very Yellow. On the "Taiwan best" there is nothing.
The Noob, that is not all gold but two tone, is actually not available in the site that I have contact.
GMF has not a all gold Sub, I have searched it, but…...nothing

My conclusion: for a two tone th noob is probably the best, for all gold case is very difficult, because there are not review about the mysterious Taiwan Best and VRF in some posts is good, in other is valued not very good in gold colour……….it'not easy to decide
