Aha- forgot do add:
While you may think the VS (DangDong) Movements are still worth going for VS over CF- based on my experience it is not true.

I’ve had many VR-based watches over the years working like champs for 12+ months within COSC parameters, while one of two of my VS3230 broke itself after the month of use. The balance bridge spring went off.

I also find the VR movements much easier to regulate and keeping COSC parameters better.

The only DangDong movements that I found really good are those from GMT Master II (DD3285)

I know this is a VSF Sub thread but based on my experience over the years- The CF is still an ultimate winner for any modern Sub reference.
Agreed.

People dont talk about VS 32xx series having many issues. The double date skip is one that is common, date jumping over twice. Winding problems are also common.

VR while it may feel grittier and less refined. In terms of performance has never had a problem. Bonus given to the fact you can find VR on AliX.

So then, the VS isn't as rock solid as purported, but one can use gen parts, whereas if the VR fails rather than getting parts one just buys a movement? Have I got that right?

VS32x series, even it fails, most people just buy a VR32xx series from Aliexpress. Geninue 32xx series parts and gears and stuff are not easily found and can be extremely pricey.

However for the 3135, the VS is the undisputed king. And you can get them on Aliexpress. And gen parts can be found for that as well.

I'm after a bit of advice.

I have a VSF 124060, which is think is brilliant. However, I recently purchased a VSF 114060 and have noticed the crystal on the 114060 seems to be much better quality (closer to gen in appearance).

There is no noticeable reflection from the hands/dial on the 114060 crystal, but there is a very obvious reflection on the 124060. It's almost as if there is no AR on the underside of the crystal.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue with any VSF models previously and if a replacement VSF crystal could be sourced from anywhere or would a deep crystal be the only solution?

So the best overall is the 114060 in terms of quality, and also for the movement? because if the VS3135 is better than 3235 also the 3130 is better than 3230, isn't it? I'm a bit confused

Hi guys,

So I've been a bit of an idiot and have removed the bezel on my 124060, in an attempt to correct the bezel backplay and to increase the resistance of the bezel clicks. However, in the process I have cracked the ceramic insert. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could purchase a replacement insert/bezel. I've had a look on AliExpress and can't seem to find any.

I also don't fancy having a second crack at it myself, so would also like recommendations for a modder/watchsmith that would be able to perform the work for me. I'm based in the U.K.

Any/all suggestions welcome 🙏

So managed to find both the bezel and insert on Ali, but unsure of the quality etc.

Again any advice from some more experienced members would be much appreciated.

Nitpicking over small details. Yes 114060 is more accurate than 124060. Get the one you like. Quality is the same.

You only need to replace the ceramic insert you cracked and not a new bezel.

Ctime has the insert you need and it will fit your VSF bezel.

Not sure if I can post this here. But my incoming 126610LV VSF seems to not have a straight lined date window at the bottom:

I realised it only after giving GL. Has anyone seen this before? I haven't. Will upload pics once I receive it.

I saw that VSF have released a budget version of the 126610 fitted with the A2824 movement.

Will the A2824 outlast the VS3230 as a daily wearer?

My "youth" version arrived this week. For $300 it was worth the punt, as I was tempted already to get the VS3235 (whatever it is). Ordered from Mirotime after seeing a post on Reddit. I mean, a VSF is a VSF, right.

Paid 7th May 2025, first QC arrived 8th May 2025. I wasn't entirely happy with the bezel position, so they swapped it out. 2nd QC arrived 11th May, I approved the same day. Shipping details provided 14th May 2025 and advised it would be a week before it logged on the shipping tracker. I checked today, 21st May and it was already in the UK and out for delivery!!!

Checked the watch over and everything seems great for the price. I can't say I have noticed the noise of the rotor yet. And, from my very limited research, the A2824 is a bit of a workhorse, albeir with a lower power reserve, but this will be in my watch winder when not worn anyway, so thats not a concern of mine.

I'm wondering whether the extra $100 for the deep crystal install might have been worth it, but overall I am happy, and I guess I can order a crystal if I want to. Although having it out in the daylight now, it seems fine, so I think it was flashback from the walls of my office making it seem a tad milky.

Mirotime was great to deal with, although I see some other people on Reddit might have had issues with communication, but none for me, I let them do their thing and wasn't chasing them up daily.

Pics to follow.
