Any idea ? How to gold replating to tutone watches submarinerI have been looking for a two tone thread. All I have found so far is the TT Sub thread. So I would like to dedicate a thread to two tones so members can post pics of their beauties, still life or wrist shots you choose.
My first proper replica was a two tone. It was the Omega Constellation. I recently picked up a BP 16613 but my father in law now owns it. I also picked up a Noob wrapped Daytona in M2M. Well here they are:
I have replaced some of the images are the old one were lost
Noob Wrapped Daytona:
Cartel 16713
Super Franken 16803 pre 16613 "Bluesy"
AP LeBron James
AP 15400 TT
Omega Constellation
I think there are a few modders who could do them. I know @Nikz19 was doing gold plating.Any idea ? How to gold replating to tutone watches submariner
Nope- we just taking in full gold. Two tone is hella time consuming considering the prepping to cover steel parts, drying time, brushing to remove the excess. Current workload I have doesn’t allow that sadly. In the time I’m able to complete a two tone I can do 5 full gold.I think there are a few modders who could do them. OMG .. I agree with you , but I heard plating masking tape do good job for selective plating .Nope- we just taking in full gold. I completely get that. You would nearly be quicker dismantling the mid links which is also a time consuming and painful process. I have seen replated Wm9 bracelets but no idea who did them and at what cost lol.Nope- we just taking in full gold. How often do you find yourself working this one into your rotation?
This one I wear a lot. At least once a month. The bracelet had to be professionally polished I wear it so much. the gold mid links are scratch magnets. I always consider it for dates with a 6 or a 9 in it because of the beautiful Open 6&9 datewheel. How often do you find yourself working this one into your rotation?
