I just received the current version of the divers watch from King and I couldn't be more pleased. Beyond the well known flaws the watch case and bezel are really well done and has great wrist presence. The black dial and silver stick indices and hands are really sharp looking, and as a dive watch it is really a classy and eye-catching model. Somewhat different from the rest of the diving watch pack.For the money this watch is going to be a well worn beater for me.

I might just have to order one of these v1's, but can you tell me about the internal bezel, does it lock with the extra crown or not?

I don't think it does screw down, but one of the guys on RWG1.1 commented that it hadn't moved, even after a full day wearing long sleeves with cufflinks

Yann has a fix for the extra crown at 10, My should arrive in the next days, I will have lume and AR done right away. Will post pics when everything is done.

I tried it with the SS bracelet and it fits. I don't know if it's available on bracelet as the actual AP Diver doesn't come from the same factory as the seconds at 12 but you can order it via your dealer w/o any pb..

The 3 flaws are :

Wrong spelling on the caseback : Roya instead of Royal
Loose inner bezel with the pusher at 10 (it's turning too easely)
Wrong round date window instead of squared...

But it's really a great watch...just need some mods (double AR on crystal and cyclop; relumed)

I have the 21j version from Robert (with the flaws ) and really like it.

About the inner bezel thing, it is a bit loose, but I had the back off to even up the rear screws and when I tightened it back up I noticed that the inner bezel was much harder to spin! It actually became slightly lop-sided (a small gap appeared between the inner bezel and the dial) so I slackened off a couple of screws and it sat back down again, which also made the inner bezel move more freely. It is clearly a fairly simple construction for this to happen but, even so, the inner bezel does not spin of its own accord.

Hope this is helpful in some way.

Not sure it's that different from the Asian clone version tbh - it even has the spelling mistake on the caseback! :lol:

One thing that is for sure, it has the correct 21,600bhp sweep!

If they manage to correct the caseback spelling and by some miracle, the square cyclops, I'd be a happy camper.

I can confirm that the actual AP Diver has been improved : the caseback is correct now and the crown at 10 is a screw-in crown (you need to unscrewed it to turn the inner bezel)...so now only the flaw of the date window remains...
