Yes,the ruby's one is more or less the same and alot better priced than any of the others,a 6538 case and dial from her comes to less than just a case from most of the other sellers

Thanks for your help, I got in touch with her.

I'm having trouble finding the 7924 gilt dial. Unfortunately Ruby does not have it. Phong does not have it on their site. Minh Quy quoted $800 for it... out of range for right now. I see Bart Cordell was nice enough to post the template for printing your own in his thread. It looks like that might be my best option. Any way to get one of these dials that I'm overlooking?

Nd trading has one for $500 which looks pretty similar to the mq one, apart from that it's a case of keeping your eyes on eBay and m2m

Ah, thanks for showing me that. Apparently I was on a different version of his site that has a smaller selection.

The ND trading dial is not convincing to me, the font is too blocky and rounded. The Phong dial looks really nice but does not appear to be actual gilt, just gold print. In fact, I'm not sure if the gen Tudor subs actually have negative relief gilt dials. Most of the ones I've seen appear faded, at least in the text. See:

It seems odd that a negative relief dial would fade like that, unless it's something to do with the radium. I have not seen any Rolex sub dials like this. It looks to me like a gilt chapter ring but with printed text. Anyone know more about these ?

So far the closest thing I've seen to gen is a random ended eBay listing. Unfortunately I did not get a response from the seller.

I think that fading is radium dust on the inside of the plexi and on the dial the gen Tudor dials are negative relief,
If you want the best it would be the MQ one but that's super expensive

I agree now that radium seems most likely but it's a bit odd how many faded-text Tudor dials you see compared to Rolex when looking through gen images.

Honestly I'm leaning toward trying to print my own relief dial. I can get all the supplies for far less than MQ cost, and I have a bit of experience applying those decals from my model airplane-making days. Bart's work is really inspiring.

Maybe some of the Tudor dials are a gilt chapter ring but printed text
