It's not a Rolex, but it's a genuine vintage big crown diver. My new Titus Calypsomatic ref 7085. Swooping lugs, fat spring bars, ghost bezel, and 8mm crown. Dates to around 1964/65. Hands are aftermarket and dial/hands are relumed. Original lume was damaged. Otherwise, this is 100% natural, time-earned patina.

Buy one from silix or any td of your choice and then when the bug really hits upgrade the dial and hands, drill the lugs for gen spec bars , age and reshape case,then realise that you have developed chronic OCD over tiny details and spend all your spare time hunched in a corner with a loupe (or is that just me)[emoji4]

Here's the start of mine. Still waiting on other parts incoming, mainly the watch itself as silix said the case would be a month. I've ordered the complete watch instead. Hell, the case and river bracelet costs about what the silix base watch is.Anyways I thought I'd have a dabble at gloss texturing my raffles dial. I'm pretty handy with a spray can as I used to build and play with radio controlled, planes, helicopter cars, trucks etc. I've had a couple of attempts 1st on a Spare dial I had lying around so I could experiment and get the result I liked best. Let me know your thoughts on my attempt on this dial? Just enlarge the picture to see the texturing.

There's a couple on RWG right now. The red depth DarthBane and a Connery 2-line. I would lean towards the red depth, but the other is a fraction of the price.
