rcom440 luckilly I am not a Rolex fan. This has to do with forum culture and I felt the need to say it out loud. I have notifications set on this thread, getting them just to see somebody spamming, it’s not cool. Maybe I see it wrong, but I see it as that.

Quote/tag/post (content) should be made for a certain reason not just because. Anyway, this is more of a photo thread content and should remain as that.

What this subforum misses is a presence of an actuve moderator (I know there are but they are not active, should be their job to keep “order” in this thread and subforum).

Don’t want to bring more attention to my post than what it was meant for. Better to move on and we should enjoy some meaningful posts.

How I see forum culture, the way you post is considered light spamming since it is absolutely not needed to do it that way.

The same goes for multiple quoting posts, duplicating photos/traffic. You can easilly tag a member with @[usrname] and he will be notified of your post.

Sorry, I had to tell you this. Wanted to do it for a long time but after your last 3 posts I simply had to (and I chose to the option to do it here and not by PM, hopefully some other members will see this post and learn something from it).

PAM_BOY again, there is a way how to behave on forums. There is when a quote is needed and when a tag is needed. Maybe you know a lot but you apparently lack of knowledge on how to act on a forum. I’m just trying to help you not being a spammer, similar on how you killed my post in this same subforum.

If I post a photo of my watch, there is no need for 1. to quote it again by saying “nice watch” nor to 2. quote it with a photo of your same/similar model. I’ve told you the rest. Learn how to behave on the forums. There is actually a forum etiquette to follow, never to late to learn about it. Maybe my fault was that I did not address you by PM but seeing your attitude, it would have not been any better if I had done it that way.

Exactly the opposite was my intention!
I quoted your post because I liked your picture! I took a similar picture a few days ago and thought the two would go very well together!

I think you will find this is a general thread for people to post there Pam pictures and enjoy other peoples.
I see no etiquette issues here.
Other than to be polite, the Panerai wristy thread is not an area that needs rules.
If you feel someone has offended you, then perhaps it should go to pm.
This thread does not need these kind of remarks.

and no, the Panerai wristy section does not need a moderator.
The mods have more than enough to do, without having to worry about a moderating a picture thread.
it runs along very well, and i have rarely if ever seen issues, until now.....

I do agree that posting multiple posts of exactly the same watch/wrist shot of the same/similar setting is a bit silly. It can be group up and post with just 1 post. Just a cleaner look when I browse through this thread.

There are no rules set, but I think it's just a courtesy I guess. Member like dadog13 who has been on RWI for a long time respect that courtesy.

Ofcourse I/we can't tell you what to do but only make suggestions.

But I can tell you one thing for sure - with that attitude, outside of this thread, will not get you very far.

Again, this is just a suggestion/advice. Take it or leave it - it's free :)
