Can't beat them in the summer, especially on the really hot humid days. Same with rubber.

Today is leather on a 127.

Funny, I ordered a new 382 because I couldn’t seem to find a 671. I ended up getting both within 24h and as I already had a 382 some years back, I knew instantly that I would sell it again. It was the 671 I really wanted...

But man... it just looks sooooo good...

And it hasn’t even build up patina yet.

I guess I have to negotiate with myself, because the “only 4 reps” is my own rule... hmmm....

That is pretty impressive skills, for a guy who claims not to be a watch mechanic/smith in another thread :)

I am quite curious, about the whole franken concept. I would guess using that many gen parts would make it one very costly rep. And how does one go about getting gen parts?

And lastly if one has ones heart set on getting a really nice PAM 177 in the year 2020, how would you go about that?

Damn that is one sexy watch...

The basic 6497 pams are relatively easy to work on, getting gen parts is part luck and part timing, for example I got the gen movement for this relatively cheap, dial and hands etc around £500 which makes the super Franken for about £1200-1500 not bad considering the gen fetches around £4K still.

i don’t consider myself a watch smith though lol, amateur hobbyist more like lol
