This arrived yesterday, I’m trying so hard to love it and Panerai in general, the reality is I love the brand but am I just picking the wrong watches ?? Had a sold a stunning 688 which I found slightly small on my large 7.5 inch wrists, now this at 47mm feels and looks gigantic !!
Yet every time I see a Panerai wrist shot I wants it !!! lol
I think I’d only ever wear this with short sleeves or on the beech but then I love my Rolex’s and AP’s for that........ so confused lol

You have gone right the other extreme in size and style. The big step up in size shock may only last a short while
Next stop, middle ground, a 44/45.

With Rolex and AP there is some subtlety. With Panerai (most models) not so much. You chose one of those “not so much” models. It is extreme in all of its details. It’s big, it’s thick, it is bold, it is conspicuous in every way. There is some middle ground (and I’m not even saying you have to go down to a 44) and maybe it’s time to go for a model with more subtlety.

Looks good mate. I also have 7.5inch wrist but I always thought 7.5 inches wrist is small.. well comparing to some of the guys here it’s small.
the thing with panerai is to style it correctly with clothes you wear.
I wear some 47mm with suit and v neck tshirt or stress pants and white or blue dress shirt but I roll my sleeves so 47mm looks great.
I always thought that submersible you have there would look great with jeans and black button down black shirt with rolled up sleeves - but the trick is to have clothes that actually fit. It’s not only t-shirt kind of watch.

Yeah I completely agree, the clothes part of the look is almost as important as the watch, I’m going to persevere I think for a while see how I get on with it, and In the meantime look for a 44 ish Pam
