No. This doesn't fly. If you sell up front and say it will be a 6-9 month wait, fine. But you can't take money, give a 2-3 week estimate and things be cool 4-6 months later. That's not ok.

I'd like to start by saying I really appreciate and admire the piece I received from Oascom. I have total respect for his work and craftsmanship. My biggest gripe has been poor communication and timeliness. I had no problem waiting for his work but meeting his own deadlines has been quite the...

I will say Oascam will always deliver, but the time frame being a few months ahead of deadline is typical (not saying thats ACCEPTABLE) and agree that he needs to reframe his work to underpromise and overdeliver and take on more projects.

I'm also in the same boat here... I came across this thread looking for meteorite dials, and contacted Oascom through Instagram in July. Initially, he was very responsive in answering my queries, and said that he was making meteorite dials "this week" (at the point when I contacted him in July), giving the impression that I was lucky in catching the boat. So, I went ahead to make my payment in full to him and was told that the dial would be ready soon. Thereafter, there has been almost no communication from Oascom. Later on, I dropped him a follow up message in Instagram to ask about the progress, and he replied that "the dial is almost done, need to apply the markers and it's finished". It has been coming to another month since I last heard from him. I dropped him another message a week ago and have not received any reply at all.

Overall, the experience has not been positive at all. It just felt that he was responsive at the point of sales, but when it comes to delivery, he becomes unresponsive. I am now left stranded and waiting on and on.

THIS is my EXACT same experience. We need him to respond and communicate with us.

No one is saying he is robbing us. Simply asking for communication and keep to his word regarding shipping. VERY frustrating.

I would have considered other options or arrangements or set my expectations in my purchasing decision had he been upfront about the delivery timeframe, instead of implying that the goods could be delivered soon. As of now, we are left without any recourse except to wait. Best case - we get our goods (next year???), worst case - we lose money (by the thousands) and get nothing. That's not a very good situation to be in.

Just got a reply from Oascom explaining that he was caught up in working on a skeleton build. Still no clear timeline on when I could get my order yet, but at least there is some communication from him. So, I'll just have to see how things goes for now.
