@By-Tor: I love your pics. Yes, the GMT has an interesting history... I got it from our friend Stephane, who got it from old RWG member Repaustria. I had never seen so many gen parts in a GMT (especially the dial), so I fell in love with it immediately.

Thanks man.

Yes I know, RepAustria is a good friend of mine and he has worked on many of my watches. He's not into reps anymore though.

I remember that GMT very well. ;)

Rolex GMT IIc:

DSC09954.jpg

- Modified ETA with correct handstack
- Lume job
- Bracelet from v2, case and bezel from v3
- Double AR under cyclop by FineDD
- AR'd cyclop by FineDD

Terrible pic, but incidentally it does show how good FineDD's AR mod is.

Waiting for :
- sapphire caseback if it ever existed
- Lello DW... just kidding ! ;)

The sapphire caseback does exist on older PAM rep. I have tested my 113 from d4me last time. It comes with sapphire. Both my Carbon PAM and also PAM036 (old case) also have sapphire back.

Here's one of mine:
* gen breitling chronomat evolution silver dial
* gen breitling black calf strap
* gen breitling caliber 13 movement (installed just yesterday)

This is an old pic showing a Lello dw. I have a gen dw with the B13 now. Keeping +4 s/day with 0.30 beat error. Will be improved after a full service (no time right now).

Being the new guy here, the question of who does the mods to the watches comes up? Does the owner do them, or do you send them somewhere to get modified? I think the super lume mod looks great. Does this work with the Submariners?

Hi there. Most people get trusted watchmakers to work on the watches. But some like to do some of the easier stuff themselves (e.g., changing a crystal, etc). Lume jobs can be very tricky, and it takes a lot of practice to master the technique, so trusted lumers are usually the way to go. Submariners can definitely be lumed.

Hey guys, getting this thread moving again...

Ok here's a Hublot Tuiga... It's a bit of a classic. Easy to mod and the result is a very satisfying watch! :)

Mods on this one are:

- Gen ETA 7750
- Taka DW
- FineDD thick crystal
- Polished bezel
- FineDD double AR
- Lume job by Domi

I'm loving this. Would you share the monetary investment it would take to recreate this incredible piece? (Nicely done!)

Yeah Edgematic, that's some serious modding right there! But I know the feeling,,, once you start modding and finding gen parts, it's often hard to stop!

As an aside, I wonder if it would have been quicker and equally expensive to buy the gen, rip out the valve, case, bezel and bracelet, slap them on eBay as parts, and buy rep parts to replace them.  just kiddin...
