KJ2020 Does this actually work, or is it like the PP GMT with painted Home / Local indication ? I'm not aware of any factory, that would produce a functioning Sky.

The GMT wheel works bro on the models with the DG2813 variant (not on ETA models). The month indicator is fixed on all models. I have a mod to permit a manual month indicator change. Waiting on a datewheel improvement to put it all together.

KJ2020 Thats awesome man! How are you gonna achieve the manual change? Some sort of gearing of the date wheel?

GREAT !!

Keep us updatet with this.
I like the Sky-Dweller... but the always "8" for the month is a No-Go for me....

Still tinkering with it. I had great plans of drilling the case and inserting a recessed pusher button but my jeweler's boss got wind of it and put a stop to those notions. ATM I can do it with a caseback removal and a blunt toothpick. The month indicator has been detached from the dial and recreated onto a smoothly rotating, reshaped and thinned movement holder that has sufficient friction to keep it in place. I can move the indicator in under 2 minutes, including caseback removal and replacement. Crude I know, but it will do for now til I can find another willing jeweler or decide to tackle it myself. The movement is held in place by alternate extended movement tabs and does not need to be attached to the movement holder, though it does aid in keeping it immobile.

Very interesting. I was expecting something like a drilled pusher, even though I hoped for some clever system of gears of the main stem. There might be a thought there, but Im not nearly smart enough to figure that out myself.
Im also hoping they will copy the bezel ring system, then it will be a much easier job to make that thing work.

In any case, I wouldnt be willing to open up my watch each month just to change the indication. Provided, its not as annoying and your solution is pretty clever, not needing any additional hardware and keeping itself in place with friction.

Yeah I've looked at exploded views of the Rolex command bezel and the 9001 interface and it's way too complicated for this rep. The rep bezel rotates to 3 positions similar to the gen, but the different positions do nothing.

A recessed pusher is an acceptable arrangement IMO, it's pretty straightforward. I would just need the inner pin to engage some teeth on the rotating movement holder at at a proper angle to push it along. Much easier done with someone experienced in custom jewelry and watch making though.

The bezel would require some case milling I guess. Not impossible, but it would be very demanding to manufacture all those parts + you would probably have to modify the movement as well.
Not really worth it imho at this point. Gonna wait for a complete factory produced version, that could be refined somewhat with gen parts for example.

The pusher I think would require a tooth-spring or some kind of push-pul rod, maybe in a combo with a column wheel. Not sure it would fit though.

Looking good. Let me ask you something.

I wore this watch outside for the first time today and it was just for a few minutes.

In the GMF thread, I've been raving about the quality of the bracelet and it's brushing and when I was out, every time I looked at it I was reminded why. It looked great but the brushing tended to look, in my opinion, almost like it has a titanium finish.

Have you had that impression at all?
