Here’s my fantasy build. There’s bit of a story behind it.
Started out as a Tag 4000. When I learned about that re-luming after finding this forum and reading day and night, I figured I’d give it a shot. It was applied markers so I figured it was gonna be fairly easy. Actually had it done pretty well. Then, I knocked over the acetone and a few drops got on the dial. doh! Then, I was on the hunt for a new dial bc this is a gen watch that I got from my parents for high school graduation and I plan on keeping it and giving it to my daughter when she gets out of high school. I was never able to find another 4000 dial but found this one and thought it looked great.
I had NO idea what I was doing and luckily, the dial feet, hands, datewheel..etc were all ETA so everything fit correctly (thank god!). I left it this way because I love the way it looks.
Everything is gen except the nato strap.
I have no idea why the date is sitting high on the window. Now I feel like I need to change the datewheel.... weekend project I guess.
