Sun/Moon (Am/Pm) dial...funny, have received more compliments on this Pam than maybe any other..picked up several years ago in Guadalajara, Mexico's San Juan de Dios market (many reps of everything for sale there), no idea of its factory/provenance~here's the 'sun' Am indicator
