Trying to decide which insert I like better

KJ2020 , I’m a fan of the first sub insert with the blue dial.

Is that an arf dial? It’s very blue without any purple.

I’ve been thinking of a similar build but with a dlc/hunter case. Can’t find a good one though. The black YM, black case and blue dial would be pretty solid too. Hmm.

Saw this and while the Pic is shit and the details aren't great (crown/crown guard and also the Carbotech on the dial) the watch has some interesting details.

Thanks for the feedback bro. That one seems to be rising in popularity locally as well. The thing is I have this beautiful dial and am trying to find the best home for it. I didn't want to use a Smurf home although it looks good because that would just be a Smurf with the wrong dial like the Noob V8. So the hunt continues...

They look good. If you want a matte insert, blue might be the best choice.
How about a white insert - a la Bamford Stormtrooper-ish?

Here are some more mock ups with minor deviations, including a Bamford white. I like the concept, but I've always been put off a little by the actual inserts as they seem to bleed a little and appear slightly translucent.

Ya, you’re right about the white now that I see the mock-up. The first mock-up with the grey matte insert looks good. It’s a tough dial to match up with. I think that blue dial (which is gorgeous) might want something shiny-ish. The blue ceramic and the silver YM-style look good in yin your first batch loo

..... look best so far. Or even a silver insert like this Tudor. (But I’m biased cause it’s my grail watch). I generally prefer matte to shiny, but this thing rocks.

Funny you should post that one I just found a chrome sub insert. I'll mock it up but I'm skeptical about it because it looks to be chrome plated ceramic which I have doubts about lasting.
