Hi,

i have this build:

case: Richie Vietnam case

dial: Richie Vietnam Dial

insert: gen

Anthaya Crown & Tube

Movement: SA3135

Hands: unknown

Plexy: michael young (Classicwatchrepair)

I have 2 questions:

What did you think i shoud change?

I have a Eta 2846 vintage automatic day date movement, but my good non prof. watchsmith cant bring it in the case, we try different movement rings but it dont work properly, it is always slightly tilted. Is here somebody in germany or Europe who can help me with that? May i also need then new (old) hands?

I have the same issue with a 1016 case. Let me know what you find please. Does it tilt without the movement spacer? In some cases, I don't use a movement spacer, just find a knotch to slide the clamp and screw it on. Worked well with gen dj cases and in a Viet gen spec 5513 case.

I think I may have a 551X addiction. The collection would not be complete without a 5512. So here it is. Built tonight.

Thinking of changing it for a S-Class of the same vintage (I have put 260k miles up on this one) but the S320 does not have the acceleration of the E320 due to the added weight. If I go that route I am admitting I am truly getting old lol. Although I did see a very nice 2001 BMW 750i that could sway me.

I have been lurking on this thread for a while now and i'm seriously thinking about building a 5513, it's taken along time to get to the stage where I think I may be able to tackle the job. Whilst searching for 5513 specs on the net, I came across this, and this is news to me.... a 5513 with a Helium Escape Valve.... never heard of that before!

If anyone can link me to some specs that can help me I'd be very grateful, I have a gen 14060M so it's good to have some kind of reference point. I also have a vintage Davosa Ternos (aluminium bezel) that I am considering sacraficing but i'm not sure if I will just end up trashing what is actually a very nice watch??

I never heard of it before, either! I found another example online, sold by Robert Maron (the famous watch dealer who was notably sued- then "unsued" - by John Mayer)

This one has "COMEX" on the back of the case, which makes total sense when you read the history of the watch. it is strangely absent from the watch in your post, though - I wonder if the one in your
post is a counterfeit one.

How about a 5512 dial with no watch to go in yet?

It’s a Ruby’s gilt tritium, I’m tempted to have it swapped into my newest pick up
