That's mental. DammmmnMexico and Caribbean is the place to go for REP cigars but they taste like shit.
San Juan is a great spot for GEN cigars at an ok rate. Dom Rep also.
Inflation is rampant here that cigars have increased 150% in a year. About 200% since start of covid. One Cuban is $50.- insane price for a stick.
It looks like I will abandon this hobby going forward. It’s just too expensive.
Love that skyquest. That's the best color. Pretty exclusive too right? Only 175? Looks great and not too many other watches that look similar that I can think of.
Pardon 1926 No.6 Maduro - shown with not-so-sly nod to my Monta Skyquest that showed up yesterday…
No.6 is my sweet spot for gauge and time and quality of smoke - will do a 35 if I’m in a hurry, but being in a hurry kind of defeats the point…
And I love the Skyquest by the way - the balance on the wrist is perfect and the fully articulating strap feels like butter. I have a small wrist and removing links on other bracelets often throws fit and balance off enough to bother me, but the Everest type band feels perfect. Taking it off, it’s like a magic trick when the weight of the watch suddenly “appears” off the wrist.
Just googled "baking bread in fire pit" and it turned up a bunch of stuff. I didn't know what I was seeing there or that was a thing. Pretty cool! Nice watch and setup there.
Thanks man. Its an improvised one, Im building a proper one, a smoker and a pizza oven, but rainy season, ya know.Just googled "baking bread in fire pit" and it turned up a bunch of stuff. I didn't know what I was seeing there or that was a thing. Pretty cool! Nice watch and setup there.
Thanks for the note! A few days in and still loving it. I’d considered Tudio Black Bay GMT in similar color way, though a lot more expensive, but in end I liked independent spirit and attention to detail of what Monta is doing and feels good to be part of it at a fair price for what I guess is an entry level luxury watch which more than holds its own against few other gens I own. And yeah, I guess the limited run was appealing,…Love that skyquest. That's the best color. Pretty exclusive too right? Only 175? I'm from St. Louis too. I used to work right around where their office is. I moved before they started Monta but still pretty cool. Thanks for the note! A few days in and still loving it. (And customer service is great too. I wrote a short note thanking them and saying how much I loved it and why I chose it and got a personal note back from one of the owners which was a really nice touch)
