Just my 2 cents, replica Navitimer or BCE still lack this "bling" Breitling factor. If you really look closely, feel it on your hand, the genuine has "x-factor" that the replica doesn't really have.

I wonder if the same can be said about the SFSO. I will be finding out soon.

I would say that SFSO is the closest thing to the genuine. Lots of brushed part... so even the genuine don't have the "super bling". Perhaps weakest point is the dial? You can change the metal bracelet to genuine Breitling rubber, it's not that expensive and will give your watch utterly close to genuine look.

great story. i think most of the time WE are the only ones who really notice the little things that are incorrect on our watches. most would have to really really look and nit pick to see the differences that we all think stick out like sore thumbs. wear them proud guys! :D

As you stated, it was by accident and not design that you were in with an AD and it turned out ok. They usually enjoy outing people, after all, it is their job to spot reps from gens. Other than the "open 4" and fonts on certain models, there isn't too much that would have given you away to the naked eye. You were fortunate that under seemingly close perusal nothing came of the encounter. It isn't easy to spot on someone's wrist, especially as it is moving. The peril is not just that you as an individual may have been exposed or embarassed, but rather in admiring your watch, AD's take notice at exactly how good reps have become, thus adding fuel to their efforts to restrict or curtail the trade, thus affecting many others.
