The best Rolex rep lume

As we all know, one of the easiest giveaways on a rep is the lume.
Just for discussion's sake, which rep do you think has the best lume?

I have a Clean Daytona, VSF DJ41 and VSF sub and I can safely say the DJ41 has the best lume (brightest, longer).
However, most of them don't even last for 20 mins.

I know it's a rep, not expecting it to last for 8 hours like a gen but at least 2 hours perhaps? Any methods to improve the lume by modding it?

I didn't know that can be done.
Watch smiths around my place told me nothing could be done.

You have any contacts?

Check the td and watchsmith section here. I think there's a German watchsmith and one more member named lume something that does relume work. You can also check with nikz19

While, like muiramas, I was previously unaware that my fake watches were constantly being called out in the dark due to their lack of gen-like luminosity, I'll add the following comment just because I noticed this very thing the other night...

The lume on my XF v5 Tudor Pelagos (black) looks as bright and seems to glow for as long as the lume on my gen LHD Pelagos.

All 3 of my Rolex reps doesn't have good lume and I don't know why.
It is indeed an easy tell.

Gen don't necessarily last 8 hours at full power like you seem to think. The full power lume (like strong blue for chromalight Rolex reps) only lasts for like an hour, then you do get a lume that lasts hours but it's much weaker

I think it's super subjective as well however many of the vintage builds here have people re-luming their watches so I believe it can be done, the tough part is removing the existing material without damaging the finishing on the hands/markers.

I understand it's a rep and wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a better lume, build, watch.
I would be happy if it could do an hour with weaker lume afterwards.

I mean a $25 casio watch could even do an hour :D

Personally among my reps the CF and the VSF’S are the best. My gens do last longer as expected

My gen Rolex watches don't have any lume,or very very little at this point. But they're all 30 plus years old.
I did buy a JKF Tudor 79090 and it had very nice lume.
Some of the later reps are having decent lume- I got a 12671X CHNR that has good lume- you just never know.
It's hard to find people who are doing lume work these days- I'm afraid it is painfully slow and tedious work.

Gen Rolex lume is decent. Nothing to get excited about. If you're after some good lume, this isn't the brand. The gen dials do last a bit longer but nothing crazy

Understandable and not looking for something extraordinary but just hoping our reps could at least last, for a reasonable timeframe.
Even a bit of glow would work but this is like, nothing at all after 30 minutes, lol.

I've yet to see a gen Rolex where the lume lasted 30 minutes. Have you ?
