Thanks mate for the advice! Unfortunately i cant stand up with the ugly wooky and shallow rehaut of Jf :(

The latest JF 16610 LN's rehaut has been vastly improved over the the older JF 16610 LV

Here is my JF 16610 LN with a sanded rehaut (but not finished) and gen 25 295c non-AR crystal

Here is a comparison pic to my superfranken and reshaped TC

i just measured my JF 16610 LN's rehaut depth with a digital caliper and it reads 1.99-2.06mm

if you could find the rehaut depth of a gen, then it would be interesting to compare

Other than that, i believe there is an illusion with the JF rehaut - the JF rehaut has a ridge beneath the rehaut engraving which reflects the dial most times and it makes it seem like the rehaut is shallow
Even though the gen M series 16610 also has this rehaut ridge beneath the rehaut engraving, i think there might be an optical illusion somewhere from the JF's polishing (I believe the gen rehaut is darker looking than the JF's rehaut). But i would be curious to know the gen's rehaut depth

Hm.. but it doesnt matter whether it is illusion.. the truth is its not looking deep enough. Thats the fact. Let's say the gen rehaut depth is 2mm so what? Everyone still can see that they look so different and there is no way to fix that problem.

FYI, every sub has that ridge beneath the engravings, TC,latest year gen, old eyar gen, Noob, BP. So it might not be the one causing the illusion.

Sorry don't get me wrong that I am trying to shove it down your throat, it's just that i wanted the best non-TC alternative as well, and the JF case falls short in some areas. But the other accessible second alternative is the startime case with very fat lugs (serious reshaping nightmare) and stubby crownguard. Then you got the BP 16610 / 16613 base but it is confirmed that the BP 16610 doesn't have a gen-specs bezel assembly and would require a lathe job to install a genuine bezel assembly. The crown height also looks wrong it (SA3135 and 2824-2 version).

I have to compromise the best available and accessible choice unfortunately. TC case would be the best available choice but their case-only price is way too high and/or the complete watch gets bought quickly.

Yea my TC has the ridge and so does my gens but they both look much more unnoticeable compared to the JF because of the way the JF rehaut was polished imo. I hope to maybe take apart my TC next time and measure the rehaut height - the JF does noticeably look shallower.
