It's a superb piece indeed. Sel gap is another overrated issue for me, along with lume and bezel turn. Iv'e had a couple of gens that weren't perfect in the gap department and it never bothered me. A lot of people think because it's a Rolex it must be perfect. I know people on the gen forum who hate the "Rolex Rattle" but I love it. Everyone has there own take though.

I call bs on that mate. Gen SEL bracelets have like a 99.9% tight fit. All of the ones I've seen has dead on close fit, I haven't seen a single one in all my watch time that has a sloppy SEL.

Hollow end link bracelets on the other side do indeed have tolerances when it comes to end link fitment. Those don't essentially have to sit flush. I've seen multiple variations on that.

Let's keep it civil guys, some of us are more anal than others and that's perfectly fine by me. The gap doesn't bother me as much so I'm happy. I used to be super anal about watches and cars and over time I let it go because I was never happy with what I got. There was always something that needed to be fixed or corrected. If I was rich then I would buy gens and be anal with those. I used to flip out at the slightest swirl or scratch on my cars, now I'm more relaxed and I find that I enjoy both my cars and my watches more when I'm not super magnifying everything to make it perfect

In response to above, the case is a old mbw with a swiss movement,i picked it up from a seller who had it from new and had only used a few times, the bracelet is a gen 93153 with 4o1b gen end links, this was on my gen 16613 ,i picked up a near new one for the bluesy when it had a overhaul,PB over on rep geeks gave it a polish and it came up like new,the fit on the mbw is outstanding as you can see, no sel gap,gen springbars fit great as well, would love to get a gen crystal for the serti but people say it would not fit,it has one fitted now from my old wm9/bk,the mbw came on a two tone jubilee which also looks good

Makes me happy that my 16613 looks even remotely similar to your super franken.

Thanks brother, my 16613 is the centerpiece of my rep collection. Hopefully your having fun at college. I know at Hofstra and UNC, I had a ton of fun. Too many girls, not enough studies but it was well worth it haha

Ronin that's some nice casework. The bezel and lug detail is great. Reminds me of my old gen 16710.

What's the bracelet? MBW?

Michael Young also does magic to bracelet restorations. Only seen good work from him.

True ,might need to go there at some point to tighten a few of the links, the older bracelet would be about 17 years old now,i got it 98 and it was 6 months old then i think,

Hi,

Wanna share what version this is?

Hi rolpat, I really don't remember. I bought it from Puretime a while back and got it relumed and double ar'ed by Finedd (Uwe), and I don't know why he is no linger a trusted modder over RWI. But I keep sending all my watches so he can do his magic on them.
