I've been on the forum for three years now. I didn't post much in the first couple of years, just sat in the background soaking up as much information as I could, and just enjoyed and marvelled at the amassed wealth of knowledge that's here for free.

In the last six months or so I've posted a bit more, tried to help fellow noobs when I can, and along the way tried to have a little light hearted fun and banter with people.

However, it seems that there is something about what I say, or perhaps the way I say it, that's causing offence. It happens too often to be happenstance, and so because it is such a very good forum, and I have no wish to irritate anyone, I am taking myself off.

A genuine thanks to all the people who have enriched my knowledge of reps, and watches in general, is due because that much I will take with me.

Seriously bud:thinking: It's an open forum, your free to post and voice your opinion, if peeps don't like it then move on, plenty out there who will appreciated different views, and plenty as well who just look for a fight.

Thought the whole point of a forum, was freedom of speech. Am a relative noob, and av no issues with what anyone has to say, good or bad, if they dont like it THEY can jog on buddy.

Dude, my first thread in the Rolex forum got destroyed by other people making fun of me for what I was asking about. It was quite ridiculous, but whatever, brushed it off and I'm still here. If it wasn't for this forum I would not have found out about Fakemaster and purchased an awesome Omega rep for a great price. Take the time to chill and come back, this is a good place.

Hey, davy! STAY RIGHT HERE!! As others have said, you're entitled to your opinion and "warped" (?) sense of humor -- that seems to be quite common here. As a noob back in '09, I, too, wrote some posts I thought were humorous but others didn't, and some members let it be known; but they encouraged me to just plod along and post to my heart's content. I enjoy your posts so don't take them away. As some mates have said, some members seem predisposed to be feisty and aggressive; just remember that MANY more have no problems or simply aren't too concerned about it. Totally agree, stick around Davy, it's impossible to pull strings with everybody and we all approach reps from a different angle. The banter is generally good in this hobby, post away and don't worry too much about offending people. Its a shame to lose good members over small incidents. All these minor little spats will be forgotten about in no time.

I've seen guys do this before. They join a forum then some time later say everyone is mean, noone understands me, boo hoo and all kinds of BS, if you don't like the forum your on then leave, it makes no sense to make a whiny post, just don't go there anymore, its not complicated.
