Terrible Problems with PureTime Service

Thank you Bonesay (are you an island near Rothesay?)

Your comments are very helpful, and are spot on if you have the crack, unfortunately I am only into my second rep, my first is a 5002 Big Pilot, which i wear everyday and is quite simply as perfect as the real thing can get. I know this as I had to sell my genuine one to pay for a house move. I cannot fault it in any way. I bought this from Angus so it is with surprise that I have had bad luck here.

The Bezel was so loose that if you brushed it with something very light it rotated. I think that a watch should have a properly regulated and serviced movement if you are buying it new from a trusted dealer. If there are likely to be issues with then it should be made clear in the sales burble.

My diy skills were good enough to stick down the bezel top plate with Superglue.

Apart from all this there are about 20 emails communicating about other service problems - watertest/QC pictures/strap/ shipping refund/ wonky tracking numbers/ Nato strap/ cost of corn flakes/ Graeme Swans odi bowling average/ where is Adele Stephens these days ........ I miss her so!

Your confidence in the human spirit is inspiring. However, if I received bogus tracking numbers, I would suspect something was rotten in China. Hope it all works out, for all our sake.

Some of the problems are real problems, like fake tracking numbers, lack of truthfulness, bad communication from dealer, and silly excuses.

The other problem is maybe the expections were a bit much for a rep, however I do not think a buyer should accept a new watch vintage or not with problems. Its been said its a vintage watch and has a posible old movement in it, what?? No its a rep vintage watch, a new watch made to look vintage, so thats a silly argument at best.

I would do no business with PT, their rep for service has been very bad latley, I wouldn't buy anything from them.

I agree Sub. It is ok to be patient, but I think some action is required by the mods. I ve not been here long, but it is in all our interest both RWI and PT that this gets resolved. It appears a pattern is developing. We lose a TD, and problems arise with the next big TD. This is a true example of "cause and effect"
