Team Alinghi Forged Carbon in the Pipe ?

Gen Alinghi FC pattern is very different with the gen FC Diver.

i think they coming from a different fabricated machine and probably dif raw meterial too.

the fc pattern is more "woody" than the FC diver.

The FC on the Alinghi is very similar to the FC used on the GP. In fact, I believe they may have he same finish. From what I have seen, the pattern itself isn't so different between the 44mm, diver and Alinghi/GP, it's primarily the finish.

C&W have demonstrated on their GP that they can get the current FC cases to a a more gen-like matte FC finish, I think it can definitely be done on the Alinghi. If anyone ever does take on the Alinghi, I would be more than happy to get Intel on the gen and even do side-by-side comparisons on the cases if one was sent to me.

I'd be more concerned with the caseback detailing and regatta function. But then again, we have some pretty amazing members/modders here on the forum do anything is possible!

Wook mentioned that they managed to create a functioning 10 sec regatta function for the Yachtmaster recently, so that gives us hope!

I was wondering the same thing, but to be honest I know close to nothing about what is/is not possible with regards to watch movements [emoji4]

But I would hope that as the watch has a closed case-back that could come to our advantage of movement holders etc were required.

Let them come up with a watch first before even trying to dictate to the factory what they will charge.

This means that every of us now needs to spam all the TDs or at least the more powerful ones like PT and Intime to ask factories to make this. Also make a thread on Repgeek under Puretime section (you have seen in the past that constant nagging angus has helped in getting things into production )

I don´t believe we will see a decend rep of this but I would love to. Could only be possible with doing a complete wrong function ... no chance for regatta function (flyback chrono, 10-minutes-center-counter and 6-minutes-counter (for the turns) and 20 minutes counter.

Anyway ... just to stress this again, the forged carbon was different to what AP uses now. The Team-Alinghi was a "monday-watch" with lots of reclamations due to the softness of the case and bezel ... I saw some gen´s (at P-DAYS´s) with nearly rounded bezels and deep nicks in the case ... looked like cheap plastic.
So the look is different ... it´s way more on the grey side and the fibre-chunks/carbon-streaks have been bigger than those used today.

Let´s see, hope and wait.

Maybe you haven't seen how some overzealous nagging and overcritiquing at one point drove Angus to stop sharing what was coming out. I don't think spamming will work either, you'll probably end up being blocked in their email system.
