It always starts with a dream...
The case and material is no problem at all ..... only the movement to show the regatta dial functions will never be repped. We might see a flyback chrono but we will never see the 10 minute countdown function this watch features. And you will have running seconds on a rep whereas the gen does not.
Dr. Theo
P.S.: The pic above shows the very rare Alinghi with a white outlined logo, only a handful of peaces ever made before AP switched to a complete red logo!
Way too busy dial with too many colours, far from the original ROO design, overloaded. And it simply doesn´t look like a $37.000 watch, too rare and exotic to be known, would immediately presume its a full quartz-rep if I see one of these in the wild - even if it is a gen.
one of my buddies own the Rg version.
its a nice watch.
Valante could find a friend who owns every AP ever made
(Being totally serious, he has mates that own them all. Good company you keep, buddy!)![]()
No way we can rep the case back though... ;-(
Yes i know~ i've got pam 417 so i know how the factory did such good job at it.. i guess cheap price of the gen gave the factory to perhaps buy the whole gen series. LolHave you seen the casebacks on the PAMs? Nothing as detailed in terms of the engraving here but it shows us given time, it can be done. The factories probably just need a gen caseback to make a mold out of, then that's one box checked.![]()
Aha! Why didn't i think of the impression!!Maybe valante could persuade his friend to lend his Alinghi caseback.Or make an impression and then send that to the makers. If there's a will...
