After seeing the second set of pics I’m inclined to think it’s TC. It goes to show how misleading poor quality photos can be. The movement pics aren’t great but it’s an ETA so that’s another tick in the TC boxes.

But I’m a million miles from being an authority, so please pay little to no attention to me.

Looks like the "TC elabore" with movement ring. I'd be comfortable saying it's a TC. Perhaps an older version? The date font is still thicker than I remember mine was, but looks much better in the more recent set of pictures. What version were you told it was?

Maybe it is the V5, I do not know the version but I think it is a TC model!
I am concerned about the shape from the CGs and not so much the date!

What exactly is your concern regarding the crown guard? The movement looks as I would expect it to look for a stock TC. The date font is a little bit fatter than genuine, But didn't look as blown out in the second set of pictures.
