excuse my newbie question but i spent couple of hours trying to find this....whats the difference between the TC Elabore 2824 Yacht Master VS. TC Elabore 2824-2 YM? I'm assuming a different updated movement? Had a hard time looking for details. Thanks in advance!

Wow! I've been out of the scene for a while (well more like lurking but not seriously considering buying any new pieces) but this is a piece of art :)

Off to enquire now as to availability and wait time...

I just a Yacht Master yesterday through M2M and I was playing around with the bezel. I took the bezel off to see if I could mod the click spring a bit to make the bezel click better. It ended up with the insert coming loose from the bezel ring. I couldn't get it back on flush and I even tried using a crystal press.
Then I remembered I had an extra bezel ring from a TC sub and tried that. The insert is flush in the ring and now the bezel click is much sharper. Only thing is now its uni-directional and not bi- directional as it should be. I don't care as I don't really turn the bezel so much but I'm happy that's it much sharper and has no play now.

I love mine and am very careful when I occasionally wear it. But alas, it is a 'scratch magnet'. Particularly on the 12 o'clock portion of the polished bracelet center links. I have no idea what I scratch it on. I'm careful as shite. Other than the dial color being just slightly 'brown' as compared to 'gen'...I truly enjoy this watch, and the build quality is second to none.

You ever thought of getting a prof or gen xtal? The dial color could be from the xtal.
I ask because I don't see brown in mine, but do you see it in my pictures? curious.

Actually, what I see in my watch is what is in this photo. On the 'gen', the dial and bezel insert are the same material (95 Pt), but look to be of differing materials in the photo. It is very obviously 'brown' when I go out into the sun. I doubt the xstal would make a difference. The dial was extensively reviewed by a German watchsmith on this forum and that was his conclusion as well. If I recall, the photographic comparison was between the first TC dial, the Elabore TC dial, early GEN, and later GEN. A good read.
