I have 3 teens and his conduct is typical of his generation..esp with multiple choice questions.
React first , think later...
His over confidence did him in and he didn't read the question carefully and eliminate the choices thinking he was in the easy part, didn't invest in concentration.
I've read studies of how AD children who are overly medicated on ritalin have difficulty concentrating...what he did I see everyday!..with 4.0 students!
So the moral of the story here..no matter how easy something is perceived ..THINK.
Maybe he didn't lose after all and learned an important lesson he will not forget the rest of his life..HMMM
