Hey sumiko! I ended up getting the root beer due your review and love it. Did u happen to waterproof yours? I don't think I would ever swim with it but curious.

As for the rootbeer, there should be no problems at all. Same principle as with any other watch with screw down crown. Grease caseback and crown gaskets and get it tested. You don't even have to worry about He valve as in many other divers.

 I was totally joking with you Sub. I mean, we disagree about the swimming thing but my post was not meant to be serious at all.

P4, ok I suppose but it sure read kinda hostile to me. Maybe I should eat a Snickers, lol. To be clear I don't use any watch in the water but that's just my preference. I always figure I don't need the hassle of exposing my watches to water unnecessarily, that's all.

JAFO, lmao.

I don't tbink there is anything wrong with sub not getting his reps in water or vice versa. It's our preference. Now I'm thinking I will have 3 reps waterproofed. The hulk, root beer and pam 390. The greasing seems easy enough but I probably mess it up so I'll leave it to the professionals.

The PAM 390 is excellent to waterproof as it is factory-prepared to do so, it should read at least 6 atm and go up to 10, same as the KW PAM 386 I used throughout last Summer. Tight as an oyster, You could even go and have a test performed if it´s just $5 or $10, instead of sending it away directly.

When I bought the Sub from pure time what I did first I put them into the glass filled up with water. Nothing happen. Still running without problems.

That says nothing. The pressure that the watch gets when you are swimming with it is not to be compared to just putting the watch into a glass of water..
