You can add a thin coat of silicone grease outside the gasket to help the bezel seat more easily.

this.

I was cold sweating the first time, then in the end i changed 8 9 of them and yes by far the most annoying part is to get the 60/120 on the bezel perfectly aligned because if you realize it's a hairline off you gonna redo everything again.

And yes the vertical press is a must imho

I have been looking at this press for a while dogwood and SuperLory ,thanks for commenting on that.

How would you describe its stability? Those two rods it stands on, is there any unwanted movement while using it? Do the dices have metal threads (looks like it) and sit nicely flat? I have a similar one, but the dices tend to tilt a bit, which is utterly undesirable and annoying.

I can only agree. I've been using this press for a year now with no problems. It's more than stable enough, nothing twists. The two punches are plane-parallel and do press without turning. The force is also more than sufficient, on the contrary... be careful. I think if the bottom support bracket bends or even breaks you are doing something very wrong. Nevertheless, as indicated above, I underlaid it. Because I simply find it better constructively.

Thank you! Exactly the info I was looking for, spoken from experience.

You even answered the unasked question of underlaying the bottom support bracket. That had raised a question mark inside my mind, too.

Glad to hear that it presses without turning. Great and informative answer, again - THANKS A LOT!

I ended up ordering the same press, no other press seem to be upholding same quality and control when shopping around.

I don’t think that one is cast solid. I think it’s basically like the blue one I had, except painted red.

Yeah, I zoomed in on a picture and saw the same. Figured that there are no shortcuts to excellence, followed suit and ordered the same press...

@dogwood - Sorry for being late to the game: After you removed the bezel, how was the crystal removed?
I used another set of dies and the press to push the crystal & gasket combo out of the bezel. I picked a die as close to the inner diameter of the bezel as possible to support the bezel from the bottom since I didn’t want to induce any additional torsion stress in the ceramic. Does that make sense?

Yes. That's what I was thinking as the other day I saw a video of someone doing the exact same thing. Thanks!
