It depends on what factory made the watch. I have a SuperOcean 44mm made by GF Factory. Here is the link to Puretime.

If this is your first Rep you should do more homework so you understand the process of buying illegal counterfeit watches. The two links below will help you understand the process of buying a Rep watch. It is not Amazon. You will need patience. If you do your homework RWI members will be more than happy to give you some direction.

Ask what factory made the watch. Without that information, I can't give an answer. If the seller doesn't know I would not buy it. If the factory is GF the cost of a new watch is $348USD, if it is made by Noob the cost is $198USD. Both are worth buying. GF it is a much better deal.

With all respect to my learned colleague above, the only difference in the GF and Noob is the quality of the bracelet and the number 5 in the 15 and 45 on the bezel. You are being offered a Noob version, which is an excellent watch. I’ve had multiple copies of both and they have all been outstanding. It has an A2824-2 movement that seems to run fast from the factory but is easily regulated. I would buy it at that price.

Brilliant to see that level of knowledge being shared to help another user.

I wonder if you could lend me some of that knowledge too?
Proper WIS level recognition and detail spotting.

I also have a Noob SO 44mm, and I agree a fantastic piece.
IMHO very near perfect Rep.
My only real issue is the short glow time on the Lume.
Any option other than a relume for this issue?

I have not experienced the lume to be an issue on these models. I have found them to be very bright and about average for dissipation. When you say ‘short glow time’, what are you comparing it to?

Citizen promaster, and a Tag aquaracer both gen.
The dissipation from peak, which is generally excellent a bright and strong green, to quite a weak and difficult to read even in absolute darkness is only @40-45 mins.
There seems to be no real retention and release.

Just IMO seems to be a near instant release rather than extended.

I did a comparison between my black Noob SOII44 and gen Rolex 116710LN GMT-Master II. The first photo is immediately after being exposed to light. Second shot is 5 minutes later. Third shot is 10 minutes later. Last shot is also 10 minutes, but in total darkness. I don't see a whole lot of difference, apart from the Rolex having physically larger areas of lume which naturally appear brighter. Does this align with your experience?

1st off, thank you for the level of effort and attention you are paying to this question.
The Lume comparison photos in particular are very much appreciated and above and beyond.

I am away from home today but will dig out the SO44 and do the same tests tmrw and post back and let you know.

Regards!

OldNavitimer, thanks again for your input mate.

I left my SO44 on the windowsill for most of the day and gave it a blast of a UV flashlight too.

TBH it really seems to have sorted out my perceived issue.
It was likely that the Lume just hadn't received enough light over the course of its use (particularly after it was a box queen for a while).

So my issue, is a non-issue ;)

Thanks again.

Glad to hear it! It's a great watch, and I hope you enjoy it for years to come!
For me, its the best watch I own...in terms of actually helping me tell the time. The dial layout is such that my brain processes the time indication fastest with this watch. Go figure.

It really is a fantastic watch IMO.
I picked it up at $198 and it really blows stuff I own at 5times it's price out of the water.

If it's the 1st rep someone purchased, it could raise expectations very high tho!
People might think they are all this good :p

Very true. The black models are super reps - NWBIG - in my opinion. The blue ones vary with the colour of the rubber bezel insert. Most are too dark. But the blue dial is gorgeous!
