Superocean 42mm Blue - BLS Factory

Hi everyone !

Since a long time, I'm planning on buying a SuperOcean rep. I've found my favourite one on Andrew's website (TrustyTime).

Good old ETA 2824-2 movement (clone of B17 based on ETA2824-2) and the blue look is astonishing. Bezel look okay but could be a little more "white" or "bright" as the Gen one on Breitling's website but it does the job easily.

What do you guys think of this model ? Do you recommend the BLS Factory for Breitling reps ?

Ah yeah, it’s a bit a of shame since the blue color and the watch itself seemed really nice.

Don’t you wanna try to correct that watch with the TD before looking for something else ?

Yes, I'm waiting for the new QC of the same model, if they don't satisfy me I'll take something else.
I hope they are better but I'm not so confident

You're right, in fact even in the gen the indices appear misaligned, I don't know if it could be the photo..

I am aware that it is a rep, I am not looking for perfection and I have never rejected a watch but the defects seem too obvious.

I understand its a rep, but there is no reason for this. A 10 year old could spot the issues in
red circles. Green circle is how they should be.

Is there anyone who makes better Breitling dials?

Don't do it! The 42mm reps from BLS are garbage. I rejected 3 of them before getting one I could tolerate and then that one arrived with its own issues not visible in the QC photos. Also, BLS will completely ignore you (and your TD) after the sale is finalized. Forget sourcing any replacement parts - it will never happen. Run, don't walk!

I think the consensus is that the 44mm version, which is made by TF, is better quality. So maybe look into those. TF even offers a bracelet with the 44, so I'd consider those first.

I should have mentioned that the above QC was for a TF 44mm. Anyone else have stories about
the TF Breitling?

The 12 o'clock marker on your TF 44mm is bad, but not as bad as some of the BLS models I've seen. My first QC from BLS had the wrong color seconds hand on it.

When you have to RL a watch one time, that's a fairly common occurrence. However, RL-ing 3 in a row and still getting garbage in the mail is a really bad sign!

There is no reason the applied markers are not perfect.....makes no sense....the rest of the watch is fairly accurate.

Does anyone make Breitling dials?
