Hi all,
I hope google translate does a good job!!

Alright Guys, we're at the turning point!
Gen case
Gen caseback
Gen plexy
Gen tube
Gen gold bazel (more steel gen was with case)
Gen tapestry dial
Gen Tudor Hands *
Dwo champagne eBay *
Gen gold crown

* bought with the sad intention of the Gen ETA 2836-2 which I am waiting to buy!

I ask you… does anyone know the height and diameter specifications of the vs3135?
From Rolex specifications the mov 3035 (of the case 16030, 16013/14) reads,
-diameter 28.50
-Height 6.35!!

ETA 2836
-Diameter 26mm
-Height 5.1mm

I built a couple of DJs back in the day when gen cases were readily available, a 16013 and a 16014. This was around 2007. Both have the Swiss 2836-2 movement. A 3135 clone won't work in the 16000 DJ cases because of the stem height. A 2824-2 could be made to work but you'd need a movement ring to make the stem line up with the case tube hole. Also, you need to change out the pinions to taller ones so that the hands would clear the dial. Best to just go with the 2836 IMO. A Sellita SW220-1 should work also. A movement ring is required to center the movement in the case. I used to get the #2 movement ring from one of the chinese dealers, maybe Helenarou.

OK perfect!
Do you think it is possible to find this movement ring on Ebay?
Then I resign myself to Gen ETA 2836

Yes, I read the thread!!!
I would have preferred a VS or VR only for hands and gen date disc Rolex!

As previously mentioned where a member managed to fit a vs3135 movement inside a 16030 case (https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/franken-rolex-datejust-build-with-vs-3135.10919812/), I would do the same and install a vs3135 movement into a 16xxx case because this means (1) you don't need to chop the dial feet off to install the dial onto ETA movement (chopping the dial feet off a gen dial renders the gen dial to be worthless) and (2) installing gen dial/date disc/ hands onto a vs3135 movement is very straightforward (no need to mess with DWO installation).

I also know that Domi (watchmaker) has done this mod before to a 3135 clone movement for my forum friend.

It was exactly my thought, but hearing from 2 watchmakers they advised me not to do it! If I were able I would do it without problems or at least I would try!

I've tried many times to fit the clone 3135 movement into a 16014 gen case set (also into a 16030 and 16013!)
And i've always found the same big problem: the 3135 clone won't work in the 16000 DJ cases because of the stem height
So, not because of the diameter (it fits) but because of the sterm height.
And If the sterm is not perfectly alligned, It's not a good job!
That’s why everyone uses the ETA 2824 or 2836 calibers (with movement rings, date discs and longer pinions!)
So… i’m curious about the experiment, but pretty sure that the clone doesn’t feet!

After reading your reply from the other thread, you can refer to my reply in the other thread:

Without modification, the 3135 clone movement will never fit a gen 16000 series datejust case properly because of the 3135 clone movement's larger diameter. The 3135 clone movement only fits partially in a gen 16000 series datejust case, but the crown/stem/tube height is completely off because much of the movement is sticking out (due to the 3135 clone movement's larger diameter which prevents it from being positioned higher up in the gen 16000 series datejust case).

I think you might have misunderstood how the 3135 clone movement and dial should be positioned higher up in the gen 16000 series datejust case.
