Submariner running fast...

I have a Noobmariner that is picking up about 7 seconds every hour. This equals almost 3 minutes per day that it is running fast. This seems to be a bit excessive.

Any ideas on how to remedy this?

3min/day: it's probably a faulty movement. Contact your dealer. If not, you can regulate the movement on a Chinese 21j and that should help, but I don't know about 3 full minutes/day.

There is a "how to" under DIY and there is a pic of the regulator (I just forgot when it was posted... try search button"

Hope this helps a bit.

What do others think?

I actually tried to get the caseback off but it turns like a quarter turn and then gets stuck and I cannot turn it any further :?:

its probably out of beat......

there are some pics of the chinese movement over in the RWG.
so u can see where u can adjust the movement.
Do a search... as even slight touch can cause a big increase./
decrease in the timing......

Truth to that.. my A7750 was 1 minutes/24 hours late then.. wooala... less than 2 sec per 24 hours after a 2 weeks run. but not sure if that case in consistent with others.

He got the watch from Crump so its not brand sapanking new. Key, try doing the DIY regulating and if not I still need to send you the name of the jeweler that is in Vernon Hills so he can regulate it for you but not sure now much he will charge you.

I purchased it used from someone who rarely used it. But it was purchased originally from a dealer probably 7 months ago?

I got the case back open and moved the lever over the smallest amount that I could.

Over the last hour instead of being 7 or 8 seconds fast, it is pretty much dead on or maybe a .5 second slow. I'll be interested to see where it stand in 12-24 hours from now. But I do think it's running much closer to spec.

Thanks for the suggestions!

We'll find out the truth in the morning.

Oh and following the hand around and watching time.gov at the same time is funny. It loses time from 30-60, but seems to gain it back from 0-30.

Update:

The watch was running fast so I opened the caseback and moved the regulator '1 click' back. The watch slowed down but then ran about 17 seconds slow over 24 hours. I then opened it back up and tried to move it a smaller amount back the other way, but it seems that it's not linear and actually wants to click as it moves.

I basically need it to move between those two 'clicks'. Is this something that is possible? Any other remedies or ideas?

Thanks!
