Strap Questions

Hi everyone,

First post here, although I have been lurking for some time so please treat me gently!

I currently have a AP Tour Auto and a Montauk Highway (along with a few other gens & reps!) on it's way. Both will be on the original rep straps.

I've read numerous posts about the quality of the rep straps but are the alternatives such as those from AP Bands really worth the additional outlay? Also, do you have any recommendations for a replacement strap for the Tour Auto & Montauk?

Finally, what tool(s) would I need to change the strap, hopefully not a whole conversion kit??

You will not need a conversion kit for either if you got them on the leather straps. Only the stainless bracelet requires a conversion kit.

Hi Sam,

I will be selling my AP Bands strap with the AP buckle as can be seen in the first link that VPX posted above. (The Red one with black stitching). I've posted photos of it here when I bought it.

I am also interested to know if the outlay for a strap from HK Tans or AP Bands really worth it? Can any comment on the reps bands.

I am interested in picking up a Safari or a Montauk

all the rep straps are pieces of cake...imo...and you know, the strap makes the watch...

Only got straps from APbands and all I can say is this.

Rep straps is at best ok as a place holder till your new strap arrives
So if you truly love your ROO I´d say skip a new rep and get a strap for the ROO.
