I think there is something wrong here:
First of all, as the mods said, it seems you just signed up to annoy people. We all know that when a dealer here is a Trusted Dealer it's for a reason.
JTime has helped me in several such cases.
You see, the QCs are done on-site after the watches are shipped/transported locally. This is the finest mechanics, shipping overseas or shipping internationally will cause several bumps, hits and other whirling around of the watch/package. Always.
It may well be that the hands rub against each other during this, or bend, whatever.
JTime has always given me 2 options; on the one hand sending it back to China, on the other hand having it repaired by a watchmaker, and partly paying for the repair. (I even did everything once, it was 50.-).
To send it back: Even if the RWI forum and the whole internet is full of it, advising against it and that in any case the packages will be caught by the Chinese import customs - I have sent reps to China so far, 3x. 100% of the watches arrived.
Personally, I rate the ability of an average RWI member to correctly fill out a CN22 form as low. That shouldn't sound aloof, but if they write suspiciously about the watch, it's clear that it won't make it.
So for me personally, I would send it back.
However, if you are a person who logs on to a forum and directly lashes out at the dealer before he has made any valuable contribution to the forum and subtly expects help, then I happily place you in the CN22 category that I spoke of and recommend one to go watchmaker.
I know, I know, your next question will be where is there a watchmaker in your area that works with reps because they don't want charges and want 10 years in prison
