Steve/TOW sent me the watch I ordered. But I have buyer's remorse

Steve sent me a completely different watch from what I had gotten in my QC. A literal shitter was sent to me. Just wanted to make everyone aware to take the "trusted dealers" title with a grain of salt.

and sorry I should have posted the pic of my tachy all lined up to show how off the dial lines up, but ignoring all that, focusing on the dial font alone it is obvious I did not get the watch from the QC. also how my order number is conveniently "rubbed" off? I also got a diff baggy of the order altogether from QC in hand

I've sat here for a good ten minutes going back and forth between the pictures provided. I cannot see what you're claiming.

The watches look exactly the same. The QC's have more reflections due to lightning, but for the death of me I cannot see the issues.

Your pictures are taken under some darker lightning or surroundings.

If I was more handy with technology, I'd do one of those things were the pictures are slid onto each other to show differences.

Someone else might chime in with better input, but I can't see it. I'm not defending anyone. I just can't see the issues.

Initially, I thought the fonts do look different, but given the the watches have different sizes (magnification), I blew 'em up and the difference seem to have disappeared.
First thing to do, before anything, is to contact Steve and see what he says.

Looks like the same dial to me. Has the same small imperfections.



Edit: I’ve also ordered many times from Steve, those labels rub off.

The pictures are such that I thought they were entirely different models with different colored faces. The dial imperfections are very similar but could that be common to an entire manufacturing run?

It seems like the tachymeter concern is legit?

The difference you are seeing is the reflection of the lightning in the room where the QC was taken. The domed sapphire catches this easily.

Light color vs dark color background and lightning.

There is similar-to-the-dial hue reflection in the OP pics because he is in a darker area with similar colors/background as the dial.

I don't know what concern there is with the Tachy other than it moved en-route. This is normal as the tachy is a rotating bezel.

I am not judging anything but the top 2 photos have completely different white balances and apertures, these can lead to the thickness of the fonts being slightly different. In this font size could look quite different. The flaws on 35-minute marks are exactly the same.

For me, I think it is better to communicate with him before calling him a scam. This not gonna get you anywhere.

I'm practicing Zen and being nice. Old Reaps would have blasted this guy. New Reaps, let's just see how it turns out.

My bet is just OP hasn't handled a gen swiss watch and is underwhelmed by the rep (hence why he called it a shitter) probably not realizing that gen watches are pretty much that underwhelming as well.

Thanks - I was trying to replicate the difference using my watch and looking at an angle but none of mine are domed.

I'm working with Steve - seems like a stand up guy.

Which he should have provided in private when the OP contacted him with his concerns first, before screaming it's a scam to the world. If I was a TD, i would sure appreciate a message telling me what is wrong, instead of being blasted on a public forum by someone who can't even figure out different cameras take different photos.

Beyond just the watch, look at the placement & state of the stickers on the bracelet and case.

The angle and how it is placed on the links is exactly the same. The lettering has been removed but it is the same sticker.

The sticker on the case upper left is also exactly the same, and the way the endlink meets the case is also the same.
