You have to be careful with the cheaper ones as the end that sits in the thread is sometimes too wide to get past the threads so only just sits in the hole

I guess it's something you have to confirm with the seller although WSO isn't your run of the mill ebay seller.

Oh yeah.......... :p You could also do that :drinks_cheers:

You were really keen on removing the thread on the case? The tools are cheap enough I guess, but between potentially ruining the springbars vs ruining the case, I would rather go for ruining the springbars (especially if were talking about the cheaper ones). That said, like I mentioned before, you can verify with the seller prior to purchasing. WSO, if you don't know, is the go-to supplier for modders who want to upgrade the PAM127 sapphire crystal (marlin2284 mentions it in his Fiddy modding thread somewhere). Maybe later I will have a go at a set, just thinking which size I would use more (although that's probably both  ).

looks very nice
The 2 sides are also different diameters where they go into the case. The 9 oclock side is smaller as the case had a smaller hole on that side and the crown side is fatter with the "screwdriver" head.

They are all I use now and have for a few years now

Panatime mate. Every set I've gotten as different size "pins" crown side screwhead is larger

Thanks mate. From my location, Panatime and ebay are equidistant.

I received the WSO spring bars and as some of you mentioned the ends are much thicker than the Panatime spring bars and not usable without modification. They will only just sit compressed against the hole of the lug pressing up against the threads and won't actually fit inside the holes. I took some caliper measurements:

WSO spring bar on left - 1.2 mm
Panatime spring bar on right - 0.9 mm

ive had a go at modifying them with success, just took a needle file to the ends, they still aren't quite long enough to sit flush however but not too bad if you can live with that - I don't think I can ;)

Thanks. I used a variable speed belt sander with a medium grit belt to shave them down. It takes a little bit of technique but if you roll the pin between your fingers as you press against the belt it will round out the pin equally on all sides. Once I got them down to the same 0.9 mm as the Panatime this is the result. Pictures taken without a strap attached, just the bars only inserted with gravity pulling them down in each shot.

The Panatime are definitely superior, they sit more flush as you said. Once you attach the strap the Panatime are pretty close to the same flush look you get with the regular screw bars. The WSO modified ones gave a bit more evident gap on both sides once you attach the strap.

Here they are compared with the barrel portion lined up as best as possible. Unmodified WSO on left, Panatime on the right. The Panatime pin portions are slightly longer on both sides.

Mine fit really flush, I don't buy from panatime though I get mine from watch obsession on the bay in the UK. Really good fitting on these!.

I noticed I didn't line up the screw slot on the WSO in the picture above so took another picture. That's another big difference. The screw slot is much deeper on the Panatime.
