Spongebob MISSING

Can I get some advise on what to do, since Spongebob suddenly stopped replying to any of my WhatsAPP since July last year?

He has my gen parts for my franken builds, and 2 watches - one AP ROO, and one Aquanaut.

I have been working with him since 2018, and I have had 7 franken watches done with him. Over the years, the completion time has always been a problem - sometimes taking a year to finish because he said he is busy etc.

I read here on this forum, that this also happened to them in 2021/22. I didn’t have that problem back then.

Now I also saw that he continues to build watches with delivery time around 8-9 weeks, all the while no replying to me.

I have asked him to send me back my parts, but again there is no reply. Just radio silence.

What do you recommend me to do ? Thanks!

I've seen SB deliver multiple builds just last month. Not absolving SB of this post but it seems he still active.

His communication is not the best, but i recently spoke with him. With Steve you just have to be a lot more patient. If you think a build will take u a couple of months, just know it will take a year but it will be done right!

I bought a modded bezel from SpongeBob on November without any problems. Talked to him by WhatsApp, he sent me pictures and videos and when I paid he shipped the next day..

I think members who has gen parts, expensive franken builds choose a modder they can visit easily. When I was US based their is a known modder named Ziggy years ago. Now my first choice are Asian modders as I am in Asia. If you can visit Taiwan easily I would if those builds cost a lot.

Even if he does work still, OP stated that he wanted his parts back.
Come on, its 10minutes to make a package.

He usually replies within a day on WhatsApp in my case during my built last year. And he finished my built from scratch in about 1 month after payment.

I will not recommend Spongebob to anyone. After all these yrs of relationship, and referring many clients to him.

This guy is just NOT reliable, and do not appreciate my business. My two cents: stay away.

The worst thing is the lack of self criticism from many of them, then they victimize themselves or throw childish excuses, be adults, this is business. At least inform your customer, it's the minimum.

Been dealing with him for a while now and I had two completed watches with him. My latest build is a 5712 (fully paid for) and it has been over 20 months now. I do share similar experiences as OP. I am not expecting my watches to be build in weeks, but he had since stopped replying to me as well and I had chatted someone from reddit where he/she said he replies very promptly and had a build commissioned (similar to mine) last week and it will be ready by April.

I don't message him every day but maybe every 5-6 days to bump myself up to top his whatsapp and get a reply after 2-3 months.

It seems like a diva attitude to me...I think these things should always be posted.

Maybe that mystic attitude raises the price? Anyway
