Keep the Speedy! The SMP, as an automatic sports diver, covers ground that you've already got covered by the Submariner; the Speedy - as a manual wind chronograph - is a completely different beast.

Valid point. The SMP and Sub are definitely similar beasts - more so than the Speedy. I really don't want to sell either as I suspect the 2254.50 may become something of a surprise collectors piece now that it has been discontinued for a few years and Omega shows no sign of rebooting it.

I think you made the right choice. My experience has been that SMPs just depreciate endlessly, whereas Speedy prices remain consistent. Better to sell SMP now.
