Specific strap recomendation needed!

Aaron (HKTAN) responded to my request and here are his recommendations:

"For Radiomir straps, I suugest you go for glossy black snake with black stitching or a burgundy alligator,
these colors in my opinion are subdued yet classy. The Snake is $129 Custom Built & shipped and the Alligator is $139. Infact a deep dark brown would be great too. "

Good ones! I will search his site for a black snake pic and post.

Here, in the bottom right hand corner, you can see a sample of the black snake. Also look at that brick red python. Not what I am looking for at the moment... but nice!

No one will ever accuse me of forging pics :shock:

Don't look at the shape of the strap (or in some case just a raw skin). What I am looking at here is texture and color.

I'm against croc/gator straps on principal, but I'd go for the second. You want that burgandy as I saw a gen gold Rad in an AD and it had a deep blood-rich croc on it and it was amazing.

Black would be such a cop-out at this point because you're wearing a gold watch.

OEM straps on the 45mm Radiomir watches are 26/22, IIRC.

I am down to these two. The first is from HKTAN, Aaron and is actually darker in real life (look at the picture I posted of the horned burgandy gator and you get the idea)



Price is $139 USD

The second is from abp-paris (link posted earlier as well)



Price is $170

As soon as I hear back from ABP, I will know my decision and place and order. Once I get it in, I will post for all to see!

either one of those will be stunning with rose gold. it will compliment the color of the gold beautifuly.

Funny thing is that is similar to the color that came with it. Obviously, the new strap will be of a much higher quality

Once I get it... I may have a honey tan gator from TCStraps for sale... maybe.

I went with the smaller "bamboo" scales because I didn't want the strap to be largely one color, I wanted more contrast and on a 24/20 strap, sometimes the scales are so large you have basically one scale the entire width of the band. I will have it by the end of January so I will post some pics then!

I want to say that Aaron has been very patient and helpful with me during the whole design process. Many emails and pictures. Which is of course one reason he got the business (and no reason to think he won't get more...). I did not know what was meant by "bamboo scales" so he showed me.

... as deep blood red with great contrast cut for my 147 with matching stitching in a 5-3 padded strap.

That sure is gonna be sharp! You won't be disappointed with Aaron's work. I had him make me a custom vintage open ended strap, and I love it!

Definitely need pics once it's on the watch!
